christmastime is here

Christmastime is here folks and we are enjoying it. We've been busy with lots of fun activities. It is a hectic time of year, but it is one of my favorites!

We went to the mountains to pick out a tree for Grammy and Grandaddy (my parents) right after Thanksgiving. We ended up just getting our tree at our local tree lot in town. It was fun to visit the tree farm though. Leighton and Georgia saw Santa and enjoyed a hayride.

Georgia meets Santa. It didn't go well.

Georgia sees Santa again. She's still not loving him yet. Maybe next year?!?

Speaking of Santa, if you live in/around Charlotte, you must visit the Black Lion in Pineville. Every Saturday from 1-3pm (I think) Santa and Mrs. Claus are there along with elves and other friends. It even snows there! The best part is that it is all FREE. Leighton and Georgia loved it (other than Georgia's Santa experience).

Slowly, but surely I'm adding Christmas touches to the house.

We ended up getting a big tree instead of the table top tree. I'm glad we did!

I made yarn trees for Georgia's room. They were quick and easy and added a little holiday cheer to her room.

Finally, Leighton and Georgia rode in our town Christmas parade earlier this week. They both did beautifully and really seemed to have a good time.

We have another weekend full of Christmas fun ahead of us! I hope you are enjoying the season too!
