10 and 5

This year Paul and I reached two major milestones. We celebrated our 10 year dating anniversary and more importantly our 5 year wedding anniversary. We celebrated our wedding anniversary with a little getaway trip to Savannah this past weekend. It was a perfect, much needed trip for us to rest, relax and reconnect. The 4 1/2 hour drive flew by. We talked the whole way down to Savannah! Normally on road trips we are either entertaining Georgia or if she is asleep we just enjoy the silence for a bit. Our weekend was wonderful. We enjoyed laying out by the pool (my white self got burnt), eating delicious meals, a carriage tour of Savannah, riding the ferry to and from our hotel into town, shopping, napping, watching TV in bed, reading and eating dessert and sipping on coffee over conversation. I didn't take too many pictures, but here are the few I took on my camera.

It has been an amazing journey the past 10 years. The past 5 have definitely been the most fun though! We've grown in many ways and learned a great deal about each other. The hard times have brought us closer and the joys of life have made us appreciate all the many ways we've been blessed. You are a great husband that loves me dearly and a perfect father to our daughter. My heart melts every time I see you hold Georgia and comb/dry her hair at night. It's the sweetest father/daughter moment. More importantly though, you are a wonderful provider and Godly leader in our house that constantly seeks to learn more. I love you Paul. Happy Anniversary!

I love the song that was sung at our wedding and it is my prayer that we will always set our eyes on Jesus.

Captivate us, Lord Jesus
Set our eyes on You
Devastate us with Your presence
Falling down
And rushing river, draw us nearer
Holy fountain consume us with You
Captivate us Lord Jesus, with You

our easter

We had a great Easter weekend last weekend. Despite passing around some colds, which I'm still suffering from, we managed to have a great time. The weekend was filled with an Easter egg hunt, decorating eggs, baking and time with precious family.

We are so excited about the newest addition to the Summerville family coming in September!
