arrows trending

Arrows have become pretty trendy over the past year haven't they? There is something sort of adventurous and whimsical about them. Here are a couple items that have caught my eye.

I love the idea of using a print with arrows in a playroom or nursery, especially a boy's nursery.

Happy Weekend to you!

wooden nursery art

I'm starting to think about baby boy's nursery and came across this beautiful wooden art. I'm leaning towards a pretty neutral color scheme in our little one's nursery, but I like the thought of adding color with a nice piece of art.

Even better if it could transition into a headboard down the road.

lots to love

There is a lot to love at Williams Sonoma Home right now. None of these items are in my budget, but I sure do love looking at them and getting ideas of how to create similar looks in my own home.

merry christmas and happy new year!

Well hello there. It's been a while. I hope you and yours had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! December was a pretty busy month. I think my family was sick almost the entire month of December - just your typical seasonal colds, but we still managed to enjoy the holiday season.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that we are due to have a baby boy in May. We are just so thankful for this little life. We had our family over just a few days before Christmas to reveal the gender. Georgia pulled a star wand out of a bag and it was decorated with blue ribbons!

This is the only family picture we managed to get that night - heads cut off and blurry, but we got one:)

My sweet nephew Drew and our little one will be in the same grade. I don't know why that seems so crazy to me!

Christmas came quickly. It was a nice relaxing day spent with family. Georgia really enjoyed it this year and that made it extra special for us! She loved all of her toys, but she most enjoyed playing with our manger scene which I thought was so sweet. Baby Jesus lost an arm, the lamb lost an ear and one of the three kings is missing a hand, but I'm thankful that she is beginning to understand the true meaning of Christmas. By the way, gorilla glue works wonders:)

I will try not to be a stranger around here in 2014. Blessings to you in the New Year!
