a day trip

I love short day trips with Georgia. There is less to plan/think about and most importantly less to pack. Georgia travels pretty well and the car ride allows me to read for a bit.  Last Saturday we took a day trip to Greenville, SC to visit Paul's brother and sister-in-law. They moved there a couple months ago. We wanted to visit and check out their new place.

We ate lunch and took a stroll in the park. Then we treated ourselves to frozen yogurt.

Next stop was the Palmetto Olive Oil Company. I've never tasted so many delicious olive oils in all my life. It was a neat store. They gave us a bowl with little pieces of bread and we could walk around and try out all the oils.

There were a few sweet oils that you could try paired with ice cream. The dark espresso was my favorite.

Georgia just liked the ice cream.

We left with a few bottles in hand. This week we tried out the most popular oil, Tuscan Herb, on our salmon and it was yummy.

Nap time came after our olive oil tasting. Then we played with our niece and nephew pups, Sadie and Bear, when we woke up from our nap.

Lastly, we ended the evening downtown for dinner. What a fun and relaxing day it was to spend with family.
