farewell to summer

We are gearing up for school to start back next week and mentally that is when summer ends for me. I just cannot get over how quickly summer came and is now slipping away. I was thinking about all the fun we had and I thought it would be good for me to organize at least a little snapshot of our summer (outside of our beach trip). We sure packed our days full of good times. Farewell summer. You were good to us! We are excited to welcome fall and all the new adventures that it holds!

The heat and humidity here in North Carolina has been brutal the past few days. I love the relaxed feeling that summer brings, but am really looking forward to some slightly cooler temperatures. I have always loved Boden. The quality and classic design of their clothes is unbeatable. Here are some great fall pieces that I am loving as I am dreaming of crisp fall mornings!

I like the idea of bookshelves around the doorway. It provides more storage, which I am all about, and it has a nice layering and collected feel. I have an area in my house in mind for this, but it will be one of those 'down the road' projects. Until then, I will just keep pinning:) Enjoy your weekend!

party like a pineapple

Georgia turned 5 last week and we celebrated on Saturday with a Pineapple themed party. She loves pineapples and painting and that is just what we did with some of her favorite gal pals! Obviously I took more pictures than you see here, but this at least gives you a quick snapshot. It was a super easy (well, as easy as party throwing gets I guess) and fun party! Happy 5th Birthday Georgia. We sure partied like Pineapples!
