dining room love

Paul and I talk often about building a custom home. If we decide to go that route, this dining room will be my inspiration for our own. What a cozy and stylish place to dine!

30th

Well, today is my 30th birthday and I had the most beautiful celebration over the weekend surrounded by fall foliage, wine and good friends. I cannot think of a better way to celebrate the big 3-0! The party was held at Silver Fork Winery in Morganton, NC. This winery really has one of the best views and their wines are some of my favorite. A big thank you to my mom and sister who coordinated the party. It was magazine-worthy and a celebration that I will never forget.

Cheers to year 30! The best is yet to come!

fall layers

In North Carolina, fall means layering. The mornings and evenings are chilly and the middle of the day can get a little warm. Here are some fall layering looks that I'm loving.

fall happenings

I am trying to be better at taking pictures of the kids with my real camera this fall. We have had an exciting fall so far. We took the kids to the Clemson/UNC game a few weeks ago. The weather was perfect and the kids did much better than I thought. We tailgated and then Paul and Georgia went inside the game while Graham and I continued to tailgate:) As you can see, we were a house divided that day. Clemson is such a beautiful school and a special place to me. I always enjoy when we get to go back to visit.

Just last week, we took the kids to a pumpkin patch. My in-laws came with us as well. Georgia loved the hayride, playground and petting the animals. By far though, her favorite thing was riding the pony. She is not a shy child by any means. We could hear her little voice just chatting up a storm with the man that was walking the pony she was on.

Hope your fall is off to a great start!

5 months

Graham is now 5 months old and is getting so big! Below are some updates on what Graham has been doing. I am documenting these stats here because I had part of my blog printed for Georgia's first year and I plan to do the same for Graham. I have a formal baby book for Graham too just as I did for Georgia, but this space allows me to include a few more details month to month.

Graham stats:
1 month 9 lbs 10 oz - 22.5 inches
2 months 11 lbs 7 oz - 23 inches
4 months 15 lbs 13 oz - 24.75 inches

What Graham has been up to:
Rolling from back to front and front to back
Wearing size 6 months clothes
Had first taste of rice cereal and seemed to like it
Love looking at books
Teething :)
Had first little sickness (yucky cough)
Smiling all the time
Lots of big blowouts - one on the bumbo chair that mommy took outside to hose down
