romans.twelve.thirteen

Share with the Lord's people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Romans 12:13.

Hospitality has been a topic of conversation between Paul and I lately. It is something that we both want to be more intentional about - welcoming others into our lives and home. The pineapple is the universal symbol of hospitality and the warmest welcome. I came across the printable above one day and thought it was the perfect reminder to add to my kitchen as we strive to love, connect with and bless others more.

around the tv

Ideally, the large wall where we have our tv would be lovely creamy-white built-ins with a spot for our tv, but that is not currently in the budget. I went with the next best thing: a gallery wall of botanicals. The prints really add color and balance to the wall. The prints are from here .  I am finally getting my act together in our living room! Happy Weekend to you and yours!

orange and blue

For as long as I can remember, blue has been my favorite color. My house will probably always have a shade of blue in every room. I think it works well with so many other colors too. Recently, I have been loving the orange and blue color combination. I have added this combo in two rooms in our house. Most recently I added these orange pillows to our living room to give it a little punch and I am loving it. It certainly works well for fall, but honestly, I think it can work year-round.

A couple months ago, we switched Graham to a bed and I first incorporated some orange into his blue/grey room. I will share more pictures of his sweet big boy room one day.

Speaking of ORANGE... I will be cheering on my Clemson Tigers this weekend! Let's hear it for some football!

school is now in session

School is now in session in our world.  Earlier bedtimes and packing lunches have begun.  Our oldest started kindergarten and our baby started preschool. I am excited for all the new things they both will learn this year, but there is a part of me that wants time to stand still too. I am so proud of both of our kids. They both were so brave starting new schools and Georgia even rode the bus! It has been a great week, but I am welcoming this long weekend with open arms! Happy School Year!
