georgia aquarium

My family went to Atlanta, Georgia this weekend to take the kids to the Georgia Aquarium. We arrived at the aquarium just as they were opening the doors Saturday morning which turned out to be the best time to arrive! We had the aquarium, it seemed, to ourselves for about an hour before it quickly filled up. The aquarium was wonderful and we all had a great time.  The dolphin tales show was a highlight from the day. Here are some pictures from our weekend. 

We enjoyed dinner at Legal Sea Foods and then headed back to our hotel for the evening. It was a wild, crazy night filled with coloring, stickers, giggles and jumping on the bed (shhhh, don't tell)! 

20 months

Happy 20 months Georgia. 

We can't believe Georgia is going to be TWO years old in four months. She is a ball of energy and just the sweetest little girl.

Here's what she's been up to:

-  She is learning her abc's and repeating them after her Dada. Our favorite letters to hear her say are 'h' 'l' and 'r'

- She is learning to count too. She has 1 and 2 down pat. 

- She loves her cousins Leighton and Bennett

- She continues to love the outdoors. Sometimes she stands at the back door looking out and sadly says 'side' 'side'. 

-She loves pickles and lemons and ice cream which she refers to as 'ceam'

- Bath time is her favorite

-She loves for us to read to her. She'll pick out a book and say 'wead' 'wead' and when the book is over she'll say 'aaagin' 'aaaagin'.  I love when she wants us to read!

- She continues to be the biggest Wiggles fan. 

- She loves the horses by our house and loves when we feed them carrots

-She loves baby dolls, cows and ducks

- She is around 24 pounds, 31 inches tall, wearing a size 5/6 shoe

We love you to the moon and back Georgia. Love, Mama and Dada

With April quickly approaching and wet weather in the forecast, I've been looking at kids rain jackets. Here are some super cute ones that I found on Amazon. They are all made by Hatley. I love that they are lined with terry cloth.

so far

So far our weekend has been pretty spectacular. The weather here in the Carolinas is just about perfect. We've been enjoying lots of time outdoors. Friday night we grilled out and ate outside. Today we enjoyed a St. Patty's Day parade in Charlotte with family, then headed towards Hickory for some delicious BBQ and bluegrass music with friends at Sims. I finally got my 'real' camera out. I have been bad about only using my phone for pictures. It's just easier and lets face it, they take pretty good pictures. Anyway, just popping in to say hello. Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
